Keith Haring’s birthday…

In Art,News by James / May 4, 2012 / 0 Comments

Today marks the posthumous 54th birthday of Keith Haring, who is without doubt my favourite graffiti artist.

You may notice one of my headline photos is a close-up detail of one of his pieces from downtown NY. Famous for his ‘everyman’ cartoons he even ventured down under and graffiti’d a wall that belongs to RMIT (formerly the Collingwood Technical College) which you can still vaguely see the remains of behind the Tote Hotel on the corner of Johnston and Wellington Streets, Collingwood.

An article on that piece which happens to be the last remaining mural in Australia can be found here.

For more information on Keith, check out his website here.

Dulux Study Tour 2012

In Awards,News by James / May 4, 2012 / 0 Comments

Well the time has come and I am jetsetting around the globe come tomorrow!

I’ll be off to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Berlin, London and various parts of Spain while visiting architects and engineers such as David Chipperfield, Deadline, Carmody Groarke, Wilkinson Eyre, Foster & Partners, Davis Langdon and Arup and many more…

If you want to keep up to date with what I’m doing, I’ll be blogging to the Architects EAT website from time to time here and more often (every day hopefully!) the group will be posting to twitter and the Dulux Blog here and here.

Keep up to date and in touch and I’ll see you when I return… with many many more photos I promise…

OK, I’ve sorted out all the layout issues to my satisfaction now and the portfolio is up and running properly with a bit of content – more is to come, probably with some better sorting applied.

I’m happy to report that I am now sending people the link to this website!

In the meantime I’m very pleased with the website!

Website is live!

Website Launched!

Well it’s finally here, after many months of umming and ahhing, and then a good few protracted days of coding, testing and content uploading, the new website is finally live! Please have a look around and let me know what you think!

I’ll be adding more content as time goes by of course, and welcome any suggestions or comments you may have.

First on the to-do list is a new gallery style that doesn’t crop my images and allows them to be viewed full screen.

Enjoy,

James
